Everything I create fundamentally comes down to light, the subtleties in what it illuminates, and the areas lost in its absence. Be it a portrait or a landscape, I aim for a feeling of intimacy within that simplicity, where the non-essential fades away. There's a desire for connection, whether with humans or nature. My goal as a photographer has always been to allow the space for that connection to happen.

Keeper's Light is a series of seascapes photographed from inside the top of Montauk Lighthouse in my hometown. With this project, I sought to reconnect with my passions for photography and surfing and rekindle the latter's influence on my image-making.

By focusing solely on their foundational elements—light and water—the following seascapes, created at Land's End, where both passions originated and were nurtured, are the result.
